An incomprehensive list of video games I have consumed.

Final Fantasy Pixel Remaster
Final Fantasy Pixel Remaster is a classic, simple, and digestible JRPG that really shows its influence across the entire genre. There should be no high expectations for the amount of content, especially for such an old and retro video game. The gameplay is simple by nature and the story is driven enough to not be boring. The player can choose to play how they wish by changing the Gil and EXP rate, as well as toggling encounters. This allows this game to be played much more leisurely and “at your own pace”.
This game is definitely a game worth playing for fans of the series and classic JRPGs, well suited for a lazy afternoon with plenty of time to kill.

Blue Prince
My experience with the game has been disappointing after reaching Room 46. The tasks and objectives got considerably difficult and time-consuming, having to rely too much on luck. I have needlessly played through at least 30 hours of post-game content trying to complete the one particular objective. Many times I have been very unlucky and unable to achieve what I need simply due an overlooked game mechanic.
It is hard to recommend this game when you just feel helpless and out of control during some sessions of the game. There are several things that need to be addressed to make this game at the very least enjoyable and bearable after reaching Room 46. However I do believe this will be difficult to balance, due to the static and unmoving nature of reaching Room 46. Unless they do something to fix the progression and structuring of post-game content, then post-game content will forever be hindered by RNG and luck.

Call of Cthulhu
The story and characters are fleshed out well, the gameplay and exploration is enjoyable and doesn’t feel off-putting. The visuals and voice-acting are very well done and fitting for the atmosphere of this game. In spite of all this, the game is essentially quite simple, there isn’t much complexity in it and doesn’t try to break any barriers. If the trailer and promotional images entice you and you don’t mind simple video games - even still - I can only recommend purchasing this game when it’s on sale. It serves as a small short game you can leisurely enjoy without having to fear you might have to commit a long time to the game.
